I had a thought...

It was my birthday on Wednesday!! It was bittersweet in its own way because I still can't walk, but my husband helped make it a really good birthday. I got a huge bouquet of flowers from my mom in the mail, my dad sent me money, and my husband even got some art I drew for fun printed on an ice cream cake for me! That was really special and a fun surprise! Both of my father in laws really knocked it out of the park for gifts too. My husbands dad bought me a new figure of Super Sonico to add to my collection which I was SO excited about, there are a handful of great priced prize figures of her out right now! His stepdad bought and built me an INSANE Hatsune Miku stage setup -- I'll do a blog post about it when she comes home! But it lights up, Miku can speak and sing, and it's a huge stage with her on it and enough space for me to display some other vocaloids!

We went to a really expensive fancy dinner at a beautiful restaurant and bar in town, the theme is starlight, and we got to sit at the bar to eat which ended up the better option because the tables paired with their regular seating were insanely small. I drank so much champagne, got to open blind boxes, put on pretty makeup and forget all about my stresses for a few hours.

It's been a particularly exhausting week in several ways, and I'm really looking forward to having the weekend off to just spend time with my spouse and do some fun things.

Since the end of November 2024 I've been dealing with limited mobility due to what the doctors now believe is SI Joint inflammation. It's greatly reduced my ability to do things for myself (making food, cleaning, showering, changing clothes) and has almost completely cut my ability to go out and do anything at all besides two to three shifts at the bookstore a week, where I'm desk bound. So creating and working on this website has brought me a lot of joy and fulfillment, because it's something I can actually spend my time doing.

A few updates to the website this week! There is now the Hangyodon Shrine, which includes a link for a photo page I made to celebrate my favorite fishy guy as well. There is also the Toy Box page, featuring some of my favorite toys across my personal collection. That page was a lot of fun to make because it was a good amount of trial and error and headache, but in the end it turned out really nice. I was really inspired by BoyPussy's Exploration pages on their website. So go explore those, and the rest of their website! It's truly gorgeous. Speaking of websites I enjoy, I think in my next blog post I'll be updating with info about a new page dedicated to resources and other sites I love across the web.

I did a full rehaul of my blog post page -- I wasn't really feeling like my original theme fit in with the rest of my website.

as i mention in the side bar, blogging isn't really my thing. that could always change, but for the time being, i'll mostly be using this space to share major updates, commission openings, and other things i consider important to share.
